This is The Catholic Farmer, boldly picking up the aims and purposes once laid down by Dorothy Day and Peter Maurin in establishing Farming Communes. We envision self-reliant communities able to provide food, water and shelter for their members and others to survive and thrive in the coming decades. In keeping with the Sermon on the Mount – the ethical manifesto taught by Jesus - we will become “cities set upon a hill” and “lights to the whole household.”
